Clementine's Letter is a really good book to read because it tells you really good details while you're reading it.
Clementine is a girl in grade 3. Everyone thinks that Clementine is weird because she writes everything on her arm. Because her name is a fruit but her brother's name isn't a fruit, she gives him names like potato and bamboo shoot so it will be fair in life and he'll have a name like hers.
Clementine has some friends. There's a girl named Margaret who is really neat and she has to have everything alphabetical, old to new and big to small. She even pays her brother, Mitchell, so she can clean his room.
Her other friend is named Norris. She wants to make him a funny name so she calls him Norris Boris Morris Horace brontosaurus.
Clementine's teacher, Mr. D'Matz, promised that he would be there all year so she could get the hang of 3rd grade. Just when she started to get the hang of it, her teacher went on a trip to Egypt for a week.
The principal's name is Mrs. Rice.
Clementine is a bit of a troublemaker. She went to the office to get Mrs. Rice. Mrs. Rice thinks that Clementine should have a paper for being in trouble but she just wants to bring her down to the classroom. Mrs. Rice is going to announce that Mr. D' Matz is leaving for Egypt and Mrs. Nagel, a supply teacher is coming.
The supply teacher named Mrs. Nagel came. Clementine thinks she is mean to her but nice to everyone else.
Then there is a contest to win a trip to Egypt for the rest of the year for the teacher who's students have the best reasons that he should win the trip.
I'm not going to tell you how the story ends because it would just be ruining the book for you. So you should go out and get the book and read it to see how it ends. You may like it because it is a really good book. (DO NOT READ THE ENDING FIRST!!)
